Self-Discipline Week

This week at EFK we discuss Self-Discipline. This is one of the core principles that lay at the center of all martial arts. Self-Discipline is defined as 'Doing the things you know you should be doing, whether you want to or not'. Simply put, this means following through on expectations and holding yourself more accountable.

Self-Discipline can take many forms. Do you want to be better at school? Hold yourself to a strict study schedule. Looking to improve your involvement at home? Ensure your chores and family obligations are met in a timely manner. Want to work towards your Black Belt at karate? Make sure you attend class and practice as often as you can. All of these examples have discipline at their core. My question to you as the reader is which one of you will challenge yourself to be better this week?
