Back To Basics Week!

This week at EFK we discuss our Basics! Now, in Karate, a basic is a kick, punch or block. Something simple that when used together can create something bigger than itself. This would be like our Katas. However, if we don't make our basics stronger by practicing, then all of the things they build will be weak as well. A way some instructors think about this idea is with a Lego tower. If you build the tower small at the bottom, and then get bigger on top, the whole tower will fall. However, if you build the tower strong on the bottom then the top will be able to get much taller.

Think about your favorite basic technique this week and try to put some extra practice in to make your Karate tower super strong!
