Word of the week this week is Integrity! Continuing to maintain value in one’s self or responsibility without guidance, permission, or supervision. Knowing what is right from wrong and making the proper decisions in moments where you are being tempted not to. A child knows its wrong to make fun of other kids and to put them down. He has a group of friends he is trying to fit in with and by doing this act on another fellow classmate he knows will make him look cool and they will accept him. At what cost though? This is where integrity kicks in and he remains faithful to his own practices of being kind and respectful. He may have lost a chance to increase his social status, but he is gained an appreciation for himself to stand tall and has gained a truer friend in the kid he decided to not heckle. How are you showing integrity? How honest are you with yourself when no one is around?
