Black Belt Updates 12/17

As we approach the holidays, the theme for this email is "keep up the hard work". Just because we are on break does not mean your training stops.

Break Training

In order to maintain the momentum for testing, students must continue train over the break. We have put together a quick DAILY challenge for students to undertake while the holidays are going on.

Daily Challenge

50 pushups

1 minute Plank

20 squat thrusts

5x Kata repetitions

100 Punches

100 Kicks

Candidate Classes

For those who have not booked their second candidate class please do so ASAP by emailing ryan@elitefreestylekarate.com. As a reminder, these are first come, first serve and are filling up fast so please ensure you select your time now, so you do not miss out.

Winchester Location -

12/30 - 1:00-2:00PM

12/30 - 2:00-3:00PM

Reading Location -

1/10 - 8:00 - 9:15AM

Lexington Location -

1/24 - 8:00 - 9:15AM

5k Reminder

We have about half of the 5k submissions at this point! There is still about a month left to submit these times but students should start to think about how and when they are going to make their attempts! Please remember, successful submissions must be made no later than January 30th to qualify for testing day.

Kata Checks

As a reminder the next Kata check point will be on January 3rd. For Brown belts that will mean 24 moves memorized and presented prior to that date. Students MUST continue to practice their katas over the winter break to remain successful in their testing endeavors.

Tickets

Extravaganza tickets are now available on the website. There are a limited number of seats available, and we anticipate the show selling out, so please make sure to purchase tickets early. The candidates who are testing do NOT need tickets, but any friends or family coming to watch would need their own entry ticket to the show.
