Black Belt Updates 12/29

We hope you guys had a wonderful holiday last week! Now that we are re-open, we have a couple of reminders for the week. 

Candidate classes

As a reminder, this month we have a second round of candidate classes for students to attend. All of these classes are full so we ask that students ONLY attend the date they are registered for. As a reminder the dates are as follows:

December 30th in Winchester (tomorrow) 

1:00-2:00 pm

2:00-3:00 pm

January 10th in Reading 

8:00-9:00 am

January 24th in Lexington 

8:00-9:00 am

Extravaganza Tickets

Extravaganza tickets are now available on the website for purchase. Ticket supplies are limited, and all attendees would need to purchase a seat (accept graduating candidates). If you have not yet gotten your tickets, please do so ASAP so you can ensure you receive a seat. Link to the tickets can be found here: Event Details & Registration | EFK

Fundraising

We are still missing fundraising from around 18 of the candidates. The FINAL due date for all fundraising on January 16th so funds must be submitted to pass this portion of the exam. 

Fitness and 5k Reminders 

Qualifying 5k submissions are due no later than January 30th. There are still many students who have not submitted qualifying times. If you have not yet taken care of this requirement, please plan to do so ASAP so there is time for additional attempts if needed. DO NOT LEAVE THIS UNTIL THE LAST DAY! 

Kata Check Ups

24 Move Kata checks are due no later than Saturday January 3rd. Please ensure you have received instructor feedback and been given a thumbs up regarding this requirement prior to that dates. 

We are down to the last month of the testing season and so far, have been very impressed with everyone's hard work! With this final month students should be buckling down and working hard to finish their testing process strong! We look forward to seeing everyone in class this week!
